On Wednesday 29th March six pupils from Westfield represented the school at the County Special Schools Seated Volleyball Tournament which was held at the illustrious location of Canford School, Wimborne. The pupils had to work together, competing against other schools in the County in a two set match.
Using a tennis height net, the pupils were not allowed to take their bottoms off the floor. The volleyball was then served into the game and the pupils could either hit the ball to each other or they could simply return the ball straight over the net.
The pupils managed to win all of their games and were crowned champions of Seated Volleyball for the first time in the school’s history. The pupils that represented the school showed great sportsmanship and team cohesion. Well done Ben, Olivia, Ben, Michael, Nathan and Jack. You are the Seated Volleyball Champions of Dorset!!
