Westfield plays an important role in a wide network of links and partnerships throughout the UK and abroad. We are central members of the Teaching Alliance of Dorset Special Schools (TADSS). TADSS is a member of a wider network of special school Teaching School Alliances in the South West called NeSTAS. We work throughout the region in collaboration with the South and West Association of Leaders in Special Schools (SWALSS) – click here for their website – delivering training and supporting the running of three national conferences each year.
Further afield we have enjoyed supportive partnerships with schools in the east end of London as we prepared for playing our part in the 2012 Olympic Games and we have a very well established relationship with Kairuni School in Kenya. Joint visits between the schools and shared curriculum work have shown us all that we can learn so much by working together.
