Many parents have voiced their concerns about where support comes from when their young person leaves the nurturing environment of Westfield. Two ex-parents set up ‘Beyond Westfield’, a support group that meets at The Bungalow once every half- term between 7 and 9pm. While parents meet, ex-students have a chance to get together with staff supervision.
Parents have shared experiences, had guest speakers and just been there to support each other through the next stage of their young person’s life. This is also an ideal time to catch up with ex-students and support them if they need it.
