Westfield is a Specialist Arts College, a designation which was given in the early 2000’s when schools could apply for a specialist status. Although this award no longer exists, we have retained our ethos and practice as an outstanding Arts educator, and the arts play a central role in our curriculum. We maintain the nationally accredited Artsmark Gold Award and offer the Arts Award as a qualification for students in KS4.
We offer the full range of creative and visual arts including art and design in our specialist arts studio, drama and dance in our drama studio, a wide range of musical activities and a host of additional activities and opportunities including film making, music production, technical support and radio broadcasting. We also host visits from professional artists which enhance experiences for students.
