The first responsibility of all schools is to ensure that their pupils make progress in their learning. Although Westfield pupils enter the school with levels of attainment significantly below other young people of the same age, there is still a clear expectation that they will work hard and make academic progress as best they can. They are set challenging targets in all subjects each year and their progress is tracked closely throughout the year in order to ensure that they achieve them. Pupils at risk of not meeting targets are given additional support through their class team or our Interventions team.
We report on pupil progress and achievement every year. You can read the report below.
We are required to report the following information for end of KS2 and KS4 results:
· 0% Key Stage 2 pupils achieved average progress scores in reading, writing and maths. All our pupils are working towards the expected standard.
· 0% Key Stage 4 pupils achieved a strong pass (grade 5 or above) in English and Maths.
· 0% Key Stage 4 pupils achieved the English Baccalaureate (EBacc).
