On the 23rd November 7 pupils from Westfield attended the Dorset Special School County Football Tournament, which was held at the County Ground (Hamworthy F.C. Poole). The pupils were able to play on the Counties new 3G pitch which was very exciting. The tournament consisted of 7-a-side matches lasting 20 minutes each, played against other schools in the county. Westfield won their first game 5-1 against Winchelsea and then they managed to go one better in the second game, winning 5-0 against Yewstock. The moment of the tournament was when the brilliant Ben (Moreton) managed to score his first goal for the school, with a blinding powerful strike past the goal keeper. What was just as amazing was his celebration afterwards!
The boys who represented the school did so in a very sporting manner, even finding the time to help out other schools with guidance and sportsmanship. A true credit to Westfield.
