Our Shakespeare Schools Festival cast have once again performed as part of a nationwide festival. On the 9th of November we took 24 students to the Pavilion for a technical rehearsal, dress rehearsal and their final performance in the evening to an audience of around 200.
Their performance of Twelfth Night was truly stunning: as directors we never cease to be amazed by the dedication and skill of our students. The performance followed two and a half weeks of intensive rehearsals and students worked from beginning to end of the day to ensure that the play was as perfect as possible.
Our technical team deserve a special mention; our sound and lighting was completely controlled by our own students who did a magnificent job. This year our rehearsals also went live on Facebook as each day our marketing team produced podcasts of the day, including rehearsal footage and interviews with the cast.
Yet again, the festival was a huge success and we are very proud of our students both for their performance and their hard work.
