On the 17th March 14 Pupils from Westfield took part in the County Cross County Festival which was held at Upton County Park, Poole. The festival consisted of 4 different races: Under 13’s Girls, Under 13’s Boys, Under 16 Girls and Under 16 Boys. All of the pupils had to run through the country park, dodging trees and roots as well as the occasional Segway, for a total distance of 1 mile (the Under 16 Boys ran 1.5 miles).
During each race the pupils were given points on the position that they came and each point went towards the overall team/school position. At the end of the Competition the scores were tallied up and Westfield received the Silver medal for coming second overall. A massive well done to the following students: Lily, Maisie, Victoria, Brennan, Jamie, Kallum, Logan, Olivia, Natasha, Ellie, Keenan, Kieran, Leon and Nathan. Special mention should go to Lily for winning her Under 16 race and for Brennan for coming second in his Under 16 race.
