My name is Charlie and I am in the Post 16 Tyneham group with Mr James and Ms Morgan. On Sunday June 15th my group went driving cars at Lodmoor Park and Ride car park. There were three driving instructors from 2nd to None Driving School with their cars. We each had an hour as driver and an hour as a passenger. I was nervous to start and didn’t think I would be able to do it but once I got in the car it was great. The instructor showed me how to turn on the engine, how to steer, change gear and use the brakes. I was told about the mirrors and stuff. I drove around a track in the car park. I drove around cones, did emergency stops, reversed and did U-turns. I enjoyed beeping the horn. I also tried to run Mr James over!
Mr James said he had never seen me smile for two hours solid before!
