On the 12th October pupils and Art teachers from Westfield, Beaucroft, Wyvern and Yewstock schools took part in an Art day hosted by Westfield. The day involved pupils taking part in three practical sessions with the aim of making four large scale mini beast sculptures. Pupils started by making a basic frame work out of card and masking tape, they then went onto apply papier mache to build up the shape and colour. During the final session the pupils added the final details with paint. All pupils from across all four schools fully engaged with and enjoyed the sessions. At the end of the day pupils received a certificate of attendance and each school had a mini beast sculpture to take away and display in their school. On leaving Westfield one pupil commented ‘Can we do this every week!’
