Kairuni school is continuing to grow. The number of children who board at the school has increased significantly as has the number of children with physical difficulties. Unfortunately the facilities are over stretched and many of the children are now taught outside as the classrooms have been converted into dormitories. Funding to improve conditions is difficult for the school to access. The internet access which was promised has not been achieved so communication with the school is extremely difficult.

Funding for partnerships through British Council Connecting Classrooms is currently under review. (this is how we have funded teacher exchange visits in the past) . We will be exploring ways we can continue links with the school and the Murugi Community.
