It has been a busy term for Luna. Her first term at Westfield has been one of learning, both about the children who are her friends as well as what we expect of her. She has grown beyond recognition and she is growing into a kind, gentle, loving member of our team. She is now just seven months old and has experienced a lot already. She has attended outdoor education visits, PAPS coffee mornings, our Eco day protest, our horse-riding sessions at the local stables and is a daily presence in the classroom. Luna now has a full timetable interacting with students around the school, doing 1:1 sessions, small group work and classroom visits. She is also regularly involved in helping children who unexpectedly find themselves in difficulties and need either a distraction, a quiet moment or a movement break. Whilst there is still obedience training to be undertaken, and she is far too young to qualify with her official Therapy Dog status she is certainly showing all the qualities necessary of passing with flying colours. The children adore her and she adores them! Each morning when her work bandana goes on, she is bouncing up and down by the front door ready to start a new day at school. We will keep you updated on her progress.
