We have received a very generous donation from Michael Boaden, parent of Cameron in Chesil class. Michael runs a heating company Titan Heating Solutions in Weymouth, and organised a golfing fundraiser to support Westfield.
The day consisted of playing 72 holes of golf, 4 full rounds at Weymouth golf club. They started at 05:15am and finished at 21:50pm, an incredible feat of resilience. Michael said ‘Although this was the toughest thing we’ve ever had to do physically, when we thought about what we were doing it for and what this money will do for the school it kept us going. Also with the support of a fantastic group of lads we got through it.’
‘What the school has done for Cameron since he’s been there and seeing what Westfield does for all the other kids is absolutely amazing and it’s a small token of appreciation from us to be able to do charity fundraising for you guys.’
The event has raised a fantastic £1950 which goes to the Friends of Westfield and will fund resources for pupils. A massive thank you to Michael and his team for supporting Westfield.
