Thanks to the great children who performed and all your staff who made the fundraising event possible we were able to install the electricity cables, sockets and fittings in the Children’s Ward. With labour costs the total was very close to the £615 that was raised.
Due to other sizeable donations we plastered the floor and walls, fixed the frames and ceiling boards, pointed round the outside walls, built an access ramp and put many coats of paint on the never ending sidewalls.
I am planning another trip out in Nov to build an accessible toilet block to get county inspection and approval to equip with beds and other furniture.
Due to the new county decentralised Government budgets we have had more staff allocated (now 19 full time) and the drug supply chain is working better. Baragu has become really busy especially since patient charges have been abolished. In Feb we are taking a retired Doctor and some Dentaid volunteers to work for a period.
Thank -you to all who make our work possible and thank -you on behalf of all the children who will be able to access local Baragu is already the second biggest health facility in the sub-county.
