Yet again Westfield students wowed the audience with their wealth of talent during this year’s talent
show. The guest judges – Sarah Bungay, Gary Dawes and Hamish Jeffcott, were overwhelmed by the variety of acts which included singing, dancing, comedy, sketches and much more. Students performed alone, in pairs and in groups– a lot of hard work had clearly gone into preparing for the show.
It was heart -warming to see the enthusiasm and sheer joy of the performers, some of whom had never performed alone on a stage before.
After a difficult decision first place went to Philip with his superb version of ‘Ain’t That a Kick in The Head’ second place to George and Bethany for their rendition of ‘Love Lift Us Up’ and third place to Miles with his stand-up comedy and dance routine. The show ended with everyone on their feet having an opportunity to sing and dance to their favourite music.
Well done to the winners and to everyone else who took part. A big thank you to Mr James, Mrs Morgan and Mrs Heffell who organised the show in the absence of Mrs Kelly McGhee and thanks to Mr Greenham for the technical back up. It really was an excellent show.
