Dear Parents and Carers
I want to wish you all an enjoyable half term break and thank you for your support this term. It’s been a very challenging time for everyone, but we have tried to keep school as normal as possible for our pupils and there have been lots of positives and joyful times.
Your children have been amazing, showing great resilience and common sense, adapting well to all the changes. It’s a pleasure to see them every day. For those who have found it more challenging we have provided additional support, time to calm and chat which has helped a lot. I am always grateful to our brilliant staff team.
The challenges will continue after the half term break, where we anticipate more seasonal illnesses and a rise in local COVID infections, but we will continue to work with you and provide information as necessary. We need to look after each other and the Westfield community has done that really well.
Thank you to everyone who sent in items for our Harvest appeal. You were very generous. They have been delivered to the Storehouse Church for the Dorchester Community Kitchen and will be shared with families in need across the local area.
Have a restful break and enjoy time with your families. We will see your children back at school on Monday 2nd November.
