On the 2nd October Westfield attended and ran the Dorset Special Schools Football 5 a-side Festival which was held on Redlands new 3G Pitch. This festival involved the pupils receiving quality training from an FA Certified Coach and then the opportunity to take their newly learnt skills into a competitive game.
The under 11’s (Logan, Sam, Jack, Jack and Shane) managed to win every game that they played and as a result were crowned winners of the under 11’s. Well done boys!!!
As for the under 13’s (Jordan, Luke, Lucy, Andrew, Oscar, Rhys and Amy) they did really well and received a well done certificate for taking part.
Both teams received a bag of goodies for their excellent sportsmanship throughout the festival, and behaved excellently (especially Jordan).
Well done team Westfield – great start to this academic year!!
