On the 26th April six pupils from Sandbanks Class represented the school (and the county) at the South West of England Regional Finals for Table Cricket.
The competition was held at the University of Exeter where all the County winners from the previous competition competed against one another to become the best school in the South West of England and have a chance to go to the National Finals in London.
The day consisted of playing in a group stage format, then the winners of each group would play against each other in order to qualify for the grand final.
During the group stages our pupils drew their first game, lost the second game, then won the third game. This resulted in is us playing for the fifth position play offs which we won and came fifth overall.
This is a great achievement as it shows us that we are the fifth best school in the South West of England. Unfortunately, we did not qualify for the National finals.
As always our pupils performed amazingly and did our school proud and showed great sportsmanship and helpfulness during the day not only to each other but to the opposition as well.
Excellent work team, well done Josh, Charlie, Evi, Emily, Anya and Jessica.
