|How we target PPG support|
|Westfield undertakes termly analyses of pupil progress, including that of pupils eligible for Pupil Premium Grant (PPG). Attendance data is also analysed and pupils eligible for PPG are compared to attendance outcomes for the whole school. As a result of this analysis In 2014-15 the following support was provided:
· Additional literacy (ELS) support on a 1:1 basis for PPG pupils that needed it.
|How the Governing Body holds school leaders to account for the spending of the PPG|
|Subject Leaders and Senior Leaders report termly to the Governors’ Curriculum and Standards Committee on the analysis of pupil progress and attendance data. The progress of the group of pupils eligible for PPG is closely monitored and compared to that of the whole school. The Governors’ Finance Committee also monitor the use of this funding to ensure best value is obtained from these funds and that it is targeted to those eligible for PPG. The SENCO team reported to Governors with a detailed explanation of their work.|
|Outcomes for pupils eligible for the PPG spending: 2014-15|
|At the end of the academic year 2014-15 those pupils eligible for PPG had made progress across the curriculum in line with those not eligible for PPG. Outcomes in all strands of the National Curriculum were judged outstanding in English, Maths, Science, IT and Art/Design for PPG pupils across the school, apart from Shape Space and Measure in Maths, where they made good progress. Click here for an overview of progress across the school in 2014-15.
Attendance for pupils eligible for PPG was 91.3% in 2014-15. This level of attendance is slightly lower than that of the whole school at 93.95% and will therefore be a focus for our pupil and parent support workers for the coming year.
