On the 6th December six pupils from Sandbanks class attended the county table cricket competition which was held at Dorchester Middle School.

The day consisted of pupils playing miniature cricket indoors on a table tennis table where the pupils (using a ramp) bowled a small cricket ball down the table towards the batter, then the fielder used plastic folds to stop the batting side from scoring runs.

Westfield was up against four others school in the County (DMS, Prince of Wales, Milldown and Branksome).

Each school had the opportunity to play against each other in a league format, with points allocated for a win or draw.

Westfield produced an amazing show and demonstrated how well a team can support one another with both leaders and followers in the group.

Westfield managed to go the whole competition undefeated winning every game that they played. They showed the rest of the County what inspirational students we have at Westfield, both physically and socially.

It was a real joy to take these pupils out for the day. To top it off the pupils have been selected to represent the County in the Regional finals in March 2018!

Exceptional results from exceptional students. Well done Anya, Jessica, Emily, Evie, Josh and Charlie.
