County Boccia

On the 10th November six pupils from Westfield attended the County Boccia tournament which was held at the Queen Elizabeth School, Wimborne.

The day consisted of pupils splitting into two main teams and then competing against other schools in the County for a place in the regional finals (which are going to be held in March 2018).

Both Westfield Teams managed to win some games: they unfortunately also lost some during the group stages, with one team managing to reach the semi-finals.

During the semi-finals Team Westfield were up against the host school (QE team 1) and the game went down to the last inning which Westfield won (5-4) and progressed into the final!

For the Final, Westfield were again asked to play the host school (QE team 2), during which Westfield managed to win comfortably 7-1! This means that we have qualified for the South West of England Regional Finals!!!

This was an outstanding achievement from both teams!

These Boccia champions were a credit to the school and showed great competitiveness and sportsmanship during the tournament.

Outstanding work Charlie, James, Jared, Anya, Jessica and Lucy. Well done!
