The teaching and promotion of British values is central to life at Westfield and reinforced in all that we do. Our School Council and Rights Respecting Schools meets regularly and pupils are clear on the ways in which their elected representatives work on their behalf. ‘Thoughts for the Day’ provide opportunities for reflection on such themes as The World in a Village and Acceptance, while our Religious Education teaching seeks to develop ‘a positive sense of self, and a respect and acceptance of others’. We demonstrate our commitment to both individual liberty and corporate responsibility as a Rights Respecting School and pupils are consistently supported to make appropriate choices in how they behave.
