Boccia Festival

On the 1st November six pupils from Westfield represented the school at the county Boccia festival which was held at Queen Elizabeth School in Wimborne.  Westfield entered two teams at the festival and both teams were able to win two out of the three matches.  One of the teams was lucky enough to progress to the semi-finals which was a very close game but unfortunately we were unable to progress any further.

After this defeat we were put into the third / fourth play-off. This again was a very close game however we were victorious and managed to finish off the festival in a respectable third place.  Having reached third place, Westfield has been selected to represent Dorset in the regional finals which will be held later in the academic year in Exeter!

This is fantastic and the third year in a row Westfield has qualified for the regional finals.
Excellent work by our pupils and special congratulation to them all.
Well done Corey, Lucy, Ellie, James, Luis and Dylan.
