From field to cup…

Our pupils have been involved in making a whole-school soup today, to celebrate harvest. Each pupil brought in a vegetable which they chopped and added to the pan. Root vegetables were roasted for that extra special flavour. The soup was simmered in pans before being delivered around the school by Y11 pupils in Ringstead. Delicious!

We’ve had a super Harvest Assembly this morning, led by pupils from Preston and The Nothe classes, who told us about harvest time, read poems, sang and told the story of ‘Little Red Hen’. Music Assembly

We were really lucky to have a performance by local professional pianist and accordionist Louise Dukes in assembly this week.  Louise did a short programme of Disney Songs and students were encouraged to join in with the singing.  Louise also teaches piano at Westfield so let someone know if you would like to take piano lessons.
